Being a boy

I had the pleasure of spending the weekend watching a little boy, well, be a little boy. Being the mother of a girl it is completely different experience watching a little boy take in the world around him.

Spending time playing with the dog.

Walking on, in, around, over, under everything that he could.

So adventuresome.....

and strong......

and independent......

and determined.......

and such a cutie!

Whew it is hard working being a boy!

Birthday cupcake smash

What is more iconic for a first birthday than the first taste of cake (or cupcake in this example)? This is from my daughter's first birthday party.

Is she not the cutest little dark strawberry haired girl? This was a quick session I did of this little beauty for her birthday invites for her 1st birthday. Her mom wanted to capture a few quick photos so she could make a custom birthday invite to send out for her very special birthday!

She was such a little ham for our mini session and I got some great shots of her!
